On Monday July 7th, the Wildwood Men’s Section hosted the 2025 edition of the popular Hawaii 3-0 tournament, with more than 70 golfers taking part. The weather was fine and the wind was down for a change.
Thanks go out to Doug Beattie for organizing the tournament, and to Phil Frey, Craig Walby, Bob Lee, Armand Greyeyes, Gord Malinowski and Roland Tamke for setting up the tent and serving bar and also selling 50/50 tickets. Thank you also, to Abe Buckle and his kitchen crew for the meal after the round and general pro shop assistance.
Handicaps were used to determine winners.
The lucky tournament winners are as follows:
First: Doug Penner Net 31. $50 pro shop gift certificate and Men’s Section club head cover
Second: Andy Melnyk Net 33. $40 pro shop gift certificate
Third: Dwyain Krebs Net 34. $30 pro shop gift certificate
Fourth: Roland Tamke Net 34. $20 pro shop gift certificate
Retrogression was used to determine 3rd and 4th place winners amongst four golfers with net 34. Winners may pick up their prizes at the pro shop.
25 golf balls were given out to those wearing Hawaiian attire.
The 50/50 jackpot was $150. Check the notice board for the winning number for this unclaimed cash.
