Stableford Tournament

The Stableford tournament is an 18 hole tournament that uses the Stableford scoring system to determine winners.  Stableford points are earned according to how you score on a given hole as per the following list of possibilities.

* 4 under par (basically impossible):  6 points

* 3 under par (i.e. double eagle/albatross, or a hole-in-one on a par 4):  5 points

* 2 under par (i.e. an eagle or a hole-in-one on a par 3):  4 points

* 1 under par (i.e. a birdie):  3 points

* even par:  2 points

* 1 over par (bogey): 1 point

* 2 or more over par:  0 points

Essentially, you want to make as many birdies (or better) and pars to end up with the highest Stableford score at the end of the round.  It’s okay to play aggressive, as points are not subtracted for a “blow up” hole.  And please note that participant handicaps will be used to adjust individual stroke scores, thereby giving everybody with a valid handicap an even chance at winning.
